Hungarian companies may invest in Kazakhstan’s agricultural projects

Kazakhstan invites Hungarian entrepreneurs to invest in projects of its agro-industrial complex (AIC) in the South Kazakhstan region, the head of the South-Kazakhstan region Zhanseit Tuimebayev said at the meeting with the Hungarian Consul General in Almaty, Kazakh media outlets reported.

The parties discussed issues of strengthening economic ties between the two countries and implementing joint projects in the agro-industrial complex.

"We are ready to give full support to the initiatives of Hungarian companies to develop business in our region," Tuimebayev said.

He stressed that Hungarian companies are exempt from all taxes in the South-Kazakhstan region.

"Our region is mainly engaged in agricultural products and we know that Hungary is an industrial country with highly developed agriculture, so we have a huge potential to use together," Tuimebayev said.

The sides also discussed the implementation of joint projects on processing agricultural products. The head of the South-Kazakhstan region urged Hungarian specialists to exchange experience in the field of digitalization of agriculture.
