Income of Kazakhstan’s transport companies increases

Incomes of Kazakhstan’s transport companies amounted to 1.08 trillion tenge in January-May, 2018, which is 16.5 percent more, compared to the same period of the previous year (925.6 billion tenge), Kazakh media outlets reported.

The pipeline transportation companies reached the highest results, in the reporting period, earning 527.7 billion tenge, which accounts for 49 percent of all incomes of the transport industry in Kazakhstan.

Railway transport also remains a highly profitable branch of the industry, earning 340.5 billion tenge in the first 5 months of 2018, which accounts for 31.6 percent of the incomes of the transport industry of Kazakhstan.

The TOP-3 of the most profitable transport branches also include air transportation, with revenues worth 113 billion tenge, in the mentioned period, which is a 20.6 percent increase year over year (market share - 10.5 percent).

By the end of May 2018, Kazakh transport companies served 9.1 billion people.

Kazakhstan’s passenger turnover, in January-May 2018 amounted to 110.6 billion passenger kilometers, in January-May 2017 - to 105.5 billion passenger kilometers.
