Azerbaijan and Vietnam have agreed on mutual investments in industrial parks operating in two countries, in particular in the field of pharmaceutics, a source in the country’s government told Trend June 23.
According to the source, Azerbaijan and Vietnam also reached an agreement on accelerating cooperation and exchanging experience in small and medium-sized business development, as well as industrial policy.
"The Azerbaijani and Vietnamese governments will continue to hold negotiations on an agreement on mutual encouragement and protection of investments," the source said. “Other measures on the development of bilateral economic relations, agreed by the sides, include mutual organization of trade and investment delegations, joint business workshops and other similar events."
The source added that the mutual exchange of information on export products, as well as on business events being held in the two countries, such as conferences, business forums will be another area of cooperation.
Presently, five industrial parks, including one specializing in the production of pharmaceutical products, operate in Azerbaijan.
The work on the establishment of joint plants with Iran and Russia is currently underway. The corresponding memorandum was signed with Ukraine’s Indar company in 2017.
