Uzbekistan held the sixth place in the world in terms of fresh apricot exports in 2017, the EastFruit company stated.

Analysts of the company noted that apricot exports of Uzbekistan reduced in 2017 by more than twice, from 50,000 tons to 23,000 tons.

Spain, Turkey, France, Italy and Greece are ahead of Uzbekistan in the ranking of the world's largest exporters of apricots.

In 2016, Uzbekistan ranked second in the world in terms of fresh apricot exports, behind Spain.

It was earlier reported that due to the active expansion of areas for cherry gardens in 2013-2017, Uzbekistan was able to significantly increase the export of this fruit and reached the fourth place in the world, ahead of Spain.
