It became possible to make money transfers through popular Russian systems directly to plastic cards in Uzbekistan, UzCard said.
The unified national processing center of Uzbekistan, UzCard, launched the service of money transfers from Qiwi electronic purses and through the CONTACT payment system to Uzbekistan.
The sent money transfers top up directly to plastic cards of UzCard.
The transfer limit is $500. The transferor pays the commission up to 2 percent of the transferred amount.
In the near future UzCard is planning to introduce new services and functions in cooperation with Qiwi and CONTACT.
Back in early June 2018, UzCard national processing center of Uzbekistan and UnionPay International (China) signed an agreement on issuing co-badged cards. The agreement signed between the two companies will allow using the new cards both on the territory of Uzbekistan, under the UzCard payment system, and outside, under the UnionPay International payment system.
In January 2018, UzCard has lifted all limits for cashing out soums through ATMs. This became possible thanks to a new service launched by the system in late 2017. It allows to cash out any amounts from plastic cards through ATMs, without restrictions. Hence the limits in this direction will depend only on banks.
