Revenues of Kazakh transport companies announced

Revenues of enterprises of Kazakhstan from transportation amounted to 1.3 trillion tenges in January-June 2018, which is 17.5 percent more than in same period last year, energyprom.kz reported.

"The major part of the income worth 1.1 trillion tenges, or 82 percent of the total amount is received from the transportation of goods and luggage, and shows an increase by 17.8 percent over the year. The transport enterprises earned 238.7 billion tenges, or 18 percent of the total revenue, respectively, from the transportation of passengers in the first half of the year showing a growth by 16.5 percent over the year," the message says.

In addition, revenues from insurance premiums for compulsory insurance of civil liability of the carrier to passengers also have grown, standing at 1.2 billion tenges in January-June 2018, which is 21.6 percent more than in January-June 2017.

Among the insurance companies of Kazakhstan, Halyk-Kazakhinstrakh, subsidiary insurance company of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC (KZIS) has gained the largest revenues from insurance premiums for compulsory insurance of civil liability of the carrier to passengers amounting to 225.4 million tenges, which is nine times more than in January-June 2017, while the volume of insurance payments amounted to only 478,000 tenges against 4.1 million a year earlier.

Halyk-Kazakhinstrakh is followed by Nomad Insurance JSC with the volume of premiums amounting to 219.8 million tenges, and a growth by 87.3 percent over the year.

The list of the Top-3 leaders is closed by Centras insurance JSC insurance company with the volume of premiums amounting to 117.8 million tenges, a growth by 47.2 percent over the year. The volume of insurance payments amounted to 19.2 million tenges.
