Turkmenistan, Israel stepping up business partnership

The delegation of Israel led by Deputy Director General of the Foreign Ministry of this country Alexander Ben-Zvi has been received in the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET), UIET said in a message.

During the meeting, they discussed the issues of organization of joint activities contributing to the enhancement of business partnership. The sides exchanged views on the prospects of cooperation in such areas as innovation, know-how and technology. Speaking about the relations in the trade and economic sphere, the parties highlighted the sphere of agricultural industry, emphasizing the favorable location of Turkmenistan and the natural resources of the country.

In addition, the UIET provided information about the future plans of Turkmen entrepreneurs, including the increase of export potential, the creation of new trading houses abroad, as well as the implementation of projects in the field of development of deposits and mining, transport infrastructure, agriculture.

The two countries are holding negotiations on the prospects of cooperation in the fields of energy, tourism, education as well. Israel offers its services in the areas of purification, desalination and efficient use of water. Once Israel took an active part in the reconstruction of Turkmenistan's largest oil refinery in a Pre-Caspian city. Israeli companies were also actively involved in the agricultural sector of the country.
