Indian company to launch production of mobile phones in Uzbekistan

Indian technology company Lava International Ltd. will launch production of mobile phones in Uzbekistan, Uzbek media outlets reported referring to the Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Uzbek manufacturer of household appliances and electronics "Uzeltekhsanoat" JSC Umid Islam.

According to the agreement concluded between the Indian Lava and Uzbek "Uzeltekhsanoat" companies, the production of three types of telephones designed for different age groups will be established in Uzbekistan under the Indian brand.

In addition, "Uzeltekhsanoat" JSC has entered into an agreement with another Indian manufacturer, the KEC International Ltd. company for the supply of cables and transformers worth $10 million.

Lava International Limited is an Indian multinational company - manufacturer of mobile phones. It was founded in 2009. The company is headquartered in Noida (New Okhla Industrial Development Authority) city, India.

Today, the company operates in Thailand, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Mexico, Middle East, Pakistan and Russia. In 2016, with the release of products in Egypt, the company began its activities in Africa.

Lava company is also working on the establishment of a mobile phone development center in India and the creation of new production facilities. The company has its own research and development enterprises in China and India to develop mobile devices.
