There are prospects for the use in agriculture of the organo-mineral fertilizers produced on the basis of waste products of coal mining and coal enrichment at the "Angren" field in Uzbekistan, pre-treated with biocomponents, the "Uzbekugol" JSC told Trend.

The appropriate method of obtaining fertilizers was developed by specialists of "Uzbekuqol” JSC, Uzkimyosanoatloyikha JSC (“Uzkhimproyekt", former "Uzbek Scientific Research Institute Khimproyekt" Institute) and the Institute of Botany of Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan.

The new fertilizer is designed to be used on commercial vegetables, melons and horticultural crops, a representative of the company said.

"The technology of obtaining of organo-mineral fertilizers, based on the processing of coal waste, does not require the use of special expensive equipment in their production and can be carried out with the use of standard equipment, which allows for ensuring the necessary level of competitiveness of the proposed products," the company stated.

The fertilizers obtained by this method contain up to 30 percent of nitrogen, up to 28 percent of plant-available phosphorus anhydride (P2O5) and 35-60 percent of the organic part.

"New fertilizers are not only a source of nutrient elements for plants and a substrate for filling humus compounds in soils and a growth stimulant, but also an effective tool in the fight against diseases of the root systems of plants," the company concluded.

The "Regulations on the procedure for determining the territories of distribution of weeds, diseases and pests of agricultural crops" were approved by resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers on May 31, 2018.

In accordance with the Regulations, the "dangerous" areas are identified for the purpose of planning of protective measures and timeline for their implementation, as well as determination of the necessary chemical and biological protection agents.

The specialists of the regional branches of the territorial "Agrokhimzaschita" JSC carry out the surveillance of soil samples, residues of plants in adjacent fields and the bark of trees in order to identify hazardous organisms. Also the area of territories and farms affected by hazardous organisms is analyzed.

The obtained information is provided by local specialists to the regional branches of the "Agrokhimzaschita" JSC, which then submit all the information gathered from the regions to the head office.

Until the end of the year, the obtained information is summarized in collaboration with the Uzbek Scientific Research Institute for Plant Protection, and the recommendations are developed to predict and eliminate dispersion of destructive plant diseases.

Until January 15, the recommendations are sent for practical use to the Ministry of Agriculture, the Council of Farmers, Dekhkan Farms and Owners of Homestead Lands of Uzbekistan, as well as posted on the official websites of the territorial branches of "Agrokhimzaschita" (“Agrochemical Protection”) JSC. These agencies are also responsible for the annual development of an action plan for prevention of the spread of harmful organisms.
