Number of Turkish citizens seeking job in Central Asian states revealed

A total of 28 Turkish citizens visited Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan through the Turkish Employment Agency (ISKUR) in July 2018, ISKUR told Trend on Aug. 27.

Twenty Turkish citizens visited Kazakhstan, one Turkish citizen visited Turkmenistan, four Turkish citizens visited Uzbekistan and three Turkish citizens visited Kyrgyzstan through the Employment Agency in this period.

In January-July this year, 646 Turkish citizens visited Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan in search for employment, which is 150 people less than in the same period of 2017.

“For the seven months of 2018, 173 Turkish citizens visited Kazakhstan, 147 Turkish citizens visited Turkmenistan, 322 Turkish citizens visited Uzbekistan and four Turkish citizens visited Kyrgyzstan in search for employment,” the report said.

In July 2018, a total of 1,567 Turkish citizens went abroad in search of employment through the ISKUR.

For the seven months of 2018, 12,851 Turkish citizens left the country through the ISKUR to work abroad, which is 10.43 percent more than in the same period of 2017.

In July 2018, 134,040 Turkish citizens were provided with work in Turkey, which is 4.3 percent more than in the same month last year.

Among those provided with work, 34 percent are women and 66 percent are men.

In July 2018, the number of unemployed in Turkey was 2.670 million, of which 52 percent are women and 48 percent are men.

In January-July this year, the number of employed citizens of Turkey amounted to 537,114 people.
