In July 2018, the number of vessels arriving in Turkey's ports amounted to 42,677 units, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend on Aug. 28.
During the reported period, the number of ships that arrived in Turkish ports, flying the flag of Turkey, was 22,223, while the number of vessels flying flags of other countries – 20,454.
The gross registered tonnage of all vessels during the reported period was 482,420,446 tons.
"The gross registered tonnage of vessels arriving in Turkish ports and flying the Turkish flag amounted to 89,099,549 tons, and vessels flying the flags of other countries – 393,320,897 tons," the ministry said.
