Turkey sees rise in number of companies registered from Central Asia

As many as 77 companies with capital from Central Asian countries (Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan) were registered in Turkey in July 2018, which is by 16 companies more than that in the same period of 2017, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) told Trend Aug. 29.

The report says the total capital of Central Asian companies registered in July 2018 totaled 8.7 million Turkish liras as compared to 3 million Turkish liras in the same period of 2017.

Thus, 30 Turkmen, three Kyrgyz, 23 Uzbek and 22 Kazakh companies were registered in Turkey in July 2018, according to the report.

In total, 9,034 foreign companies were registered in Turkey in July 2018, which is more by 30.84 percent than in July 2017. The largest number of companies (3657) was registered in Istanbul and some 813 companies were registered in the country's capital - Ankara in this period.

A total of 1,958 companies were closed in Turkey in July, 2018, TOBB reported.
