New logistics center to be opened in Turkey

In September 2018, a new logistics center, Yenice, will be opened in the Mersin province of Turkey, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend Aug. 31.

"The new logistics center Yenice is located next to a transport hub. The total area of the logistics center is 260,000 square meters," the ministry said.

Logistics centers have already been put into operation in Samsun (Gelemen), Istanbul (Halkali), Eskisehir (Hasanbey), Denizli (Kaklik), Izmit (Kosekoy), Usak and Balikesir (Gokkoy).

It is also planned to open logistic centers in Istanbul, as well as in the provinces of Kars, Mardin, Sirnak, Kayseri, Sivas, Bitlis and Karaman.

Turkey plans to build 21 logistics centers. Logistic centers are under construction in Bilecik (Bozuyuk), Erzurum (Palandoken), Mersin (Yenice), Konya (Kayacik) and Izmir (Kemalpasa).
