The applications for supplying Azerbaijani non-oil products worth $315.5 million in January-July 2018 were accepted via Azexport website (www.azexport.az), which is 19.37 percent more than in January-July 2017, according to the Export Review, published by the country’s Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.
Since early 2017, orders worth $790.5 million were accepted via the website, including orders worth $475 million in 2017.
Russia is leading in terms of the total volume of applications for January-July 2018. Thus, 18 percent of all applications accounts for Russia, following the US (8.2 percent of applications), Turkey (7.1 percent), Iran (4.8 percent) and the UK (4.3 percent).
Analysis of applications shows that the greatest number of orders in July was received for cosmetics, wine, apples, pears, fruit jams, Naftalan oil, chicken meat, furniture, confectionery, tomatoes, tomato juice and others.
Azexport website was created in accordance with the president’s order ‘On the creation of a unified database of goods produced in Azerbaijan’ dated September 21, 2016.
The website aims at providing information on Azerbaijani goods and a favourable platform for their sale on foreign and domestic markets.
