Uzbekistan most attractive destination for work in Central Asia for Turkish citizens

A total of 811 Turkish citizens visited countries of Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan) through the Turkish Employment Agency (ISKUR) in January-August 2018, ISKUR told Trend Sept. 17.

A total of 333 Turkish citizens arrived in Uzbekistan through the ISKUR in January-August 2018, which is by 505.45 percent more compared to the same period in 2017, ISKUR said.

In August 2018, 11 people visited Uzbekistan through the ISKUR.

During the first eight months of 2018, 196 citizens of Turkey as a whole visited Kazakhstan, which is 21.91 percent less compared to the same period in 2017.

In August, Kazakhstan was visited by 23 Turkish citizens for work purposes through ISKUR.

During the first eight months of 2018, Turkmenistan was visited by 280 Turkish citizens, and Kyrgyzstan by - four Turkish citizens.

“The number of Turkish citizens who visited Turkmenistan during the first eight months of this year decreased by 50.79 percent, while the number of those who visited Kyrgyzstan increased by 100 percent,” ISKUR said.

In August 2018, 133 citizens of Turkey visited Turkmenistan through the employment service. At the same time, no citizen of Turkey visited Kyrgyzstan through ISKUR in August of this year.

During the eight months of 2018, 14,531 Turkish citizens went abroad through ISKUR, which is 14.36 percent more compared to the same period in 2017.

In August 2018, 92,824 citizens of Turkey were provided with work in Turkey, which is 6.4 percent more compared to the same month last year.

Among those employed in August 2018, 99.4 percent accounted for the private sector.

In January-August 2018, 762,933 people were provided with work in Turkey, 66 percent of which were men, and 34 percent were women.

In August 2018, the number of unemployed in Turkey was 2.751 million people, 52 percent of which were women, and 48 percent were men.
