By Anvar Mammadov - Trend:

The small and medium-sized enterprises of Russia should study the Azerbaijani market more actively, Alexander Braverman, Chairman of the Board of the Federal Corporation for Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises of Russia (SME Corporation), told Trend Sept. 27.

He noted that at present the development of relations between SMEs of the two countries can be assessed as very rapidly progressing.

"This is due not only to the memorandum signed between our agencies in May, but also to the road map with a step-by-step implementation procedure in such areas as business navigation, which gives Azerbaijani entrepreneurs a clear idea of the Russian market, understanding of market niches, competitors, sales channels, legal norms and so on," Braverman said.

Braverman noted that the parties have already outlined the future direction of activities.

"First of all, it is necessary to set up the mutual activity of our regions with the support of both agencies in order to establish even more intensive traffic on this bilateral road of cooperation. It is necessary that we have an equally clear understanding of the markets of our countries, so that the situation wouldn’t form in such a way that the Azerbaijani entrepreneurs know the Russian market well, but the Azerbaijani market is a so-called terra incognita for Russian businessmen," Braverman said.
