KMG International Group (KMGI - member of JSC NC KazMunayGas) and the Romanian government intend to complete the necessary procedures for creating a joint investment fund, the Kazakh media cited State Secretary of the Romanian Ministry of Energy Robert Tudorache as saying.
Tudorache made the remarks during the visit of the Romanian delegation to Kazakhstan.
“This fund will be created within the implementation of the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding, which was signed in 2013,” he said.
“Both sides - the Romanian Ministry of Energy and KMGI have recently closely cooperated on this issue and have advanced in the implementation of the first stage of the memorandum in terms of creating the Kazakh-Romanian investment fund,” Tudorache added.
“We hope that soon we will be able to announce its establishment,” he said. “The Romanian government and KMGI will have equal opportunities to make proposals for funding.”
"Two projects that can be implemented within the Kazakh-Romanian fund were discussed during negotiations with KMGI representatives," he added.
In general, Tudorache appreciated the results of KMGI activity in Romania, calling the company one of the reliable investors in the energy sector of this country.
