Azerbaijan's Naxcivan Duz Istehsali LLC plans by the end of this year to increase the production of food and industrial salt, which may exceed 6,000 tons, director of the company Anar Asadullayev told Trend.
He noted that every year the company produces about 6,000 tons of salt.
"At the end of last year, the volume of production was close to this indicator, but we believe that by the end of the current year this volume will be above the specified figure. We plan to increase production in order to start exporting our products to other countries."
"Currently, the produced volumes fully meet the needs of the domestic market in Nakhchivan. We sell our products throughout Azerbaijan."
"Once we exported salt to Georgia, but due to the lack of demand in the Georgian market, the exports there were suspended. Next year, we plan to start exporting salt to Turkey, Russia and Iraq," Asadullayev said.
