Iran must find way to get rid of the economic problems, whether they derive from the US sanctions or internal issues, said the country's Minister of Roads and Urban Development Abbas Akhoundi.
"Certainly, we will pass through these difficulties, and the severity and uncertainty that exists in the market will decrease. Thanks to Iran's foreign policy there is possibility of international consensus against the US unilateralism,” he said.
He described Iran's current situation as "historical".
"This is a historical situation because big powers such as China, Russia and the European Union are currently standing alongside Iran and confronting the United States' unilateralism. Unfortunately, some people do not understand the significance of this, and effectively prevent the Iranian nation from benefiting from this exceptional situation,” he said.
Pointing out that the country’s next step for economic stability is providing the basis of international trade and financial transactions, he stated that despite tensions, Iran's parliament passed its decision and adopted four laws for cooperation with the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
“In the future, the effects of this decision on the market will become clear and will definitely stop the current economic uncertainty and provide a better prospects for the Iranian nation,” said the official.
Arguing that Iran should definitely expand its trade and export to resist the US sanctions, Akhoundi said that without the approval of the FATF bills in the parliament, it would be impossible for Iran to cooperate with the world.
