Baku, Azerbaijan, Oct. 15
By Matanat Nasibova - Trend:
The producer of medicinal plants in Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) Farma Shah LLC is planning to export its products to foreign markets, the company's director Yasin Babayev told Trend.
According to Babayev, the company produces about 70 varieties of medicinal plants.
"There is a great demand for our products in the domestic market, especially in Nakhchivan, but it is sold in Baku as well. We think about exporting our goods primarily to Turkey and Russia. Of course, we would like to export to Europe, but, unfortunately, we cannot yet put this idea into practice. There are certain difficulties associated with language barriers, as well as packaging design. Therefore, for the time being we intend to develop the markets of the neighbouring countries, especially since it is advantageous from the point of view of logistics and direct routes, which is important," the director of the company said.
The Ministry of Economy of the NAR provides great support to the enterprise in promoting the company's products to foreign markets, Hajiyev added.
He mentioned that the manufactured products have a certificate of conformity issued by the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents of the NAR.
The company uses modern equipment manufactured in Iran and China.
