Four Chinese firms have been granted licenses and are working on several investment projects in Iran’s northern province of Mazandaran, IRNA reported.
“They are currently working on the construction of a power plant with a capacity of 25 MW,” the report said.
It added that China has invested some $15 million in the project.
Another Chinese firm has also signed an agreement with local Sari Municipality to build a waste incineration plant in the city through a joint venture, the report said.
Some 60 percent of the project’s finance will be supplied by Iran and the rest by China.
The new waste incineration plant is to process both municipal and commercial & industrial (C&I) waste.
