Meanwhile, the construction of a sports complex in Shet district should be completed in November.

“Next year, a 50-meter swimming pool and a wrestling center will be built in Karaganda, and a sports and recreation complex will appear in Temirtau city,” Karpov added. "Moreover, sports centers with swimming pools will be built in Shakhtinsk and Jezkazgan by 2020."

Karpov stressed that all facilities will be designed to ensure that people with disabilities can attend them.

In total, 11 sports and recreation centers will be put into operation in the Karaganda region by 2022. As many as 1,100 children from socially protected segments of the population will be able to train in them free of charge.
