A new generation of the turbo engine equipped Chevrolet Malibu car, which will be produced by GM Uzbekistan as part of the global program for updating the model range, was presented at the Piskent Car Test Site in Uzbekistan, the press service of the Uzbek company said.
Compared with 186 horsepower of the Malibu car with a naturally aspirated engine, a 2.5-liter car with a turbo engine with similar fuel consumption has 253 horsepower.
The new model accelerates to 100 km/h 1.7 seconds faster, despite the smaller engine size.
The fuel consumption of the new model in the combined cycle is 8.5 liters per 100 kilometers.
The recommended fuel is AI-95.
It was reported earlier that Uzbekistan produced 127,420 cars in January-September 2018, which is 25.7 percent more compared to the same period in 2017.
