The volume of cash withdrawal from Kazakh payment cards amounted to 8.6 trillion tenge in January-August 2018, Ranking.kz reported.
Thus, the year-on-year growth was 26.4 percent.
Cash withdrawal from the payment cards of Visa and MasterCard systems accounted for 95.3 percent of the total cash withdrawal.
Meanwhile, the cash withdrawal in the territory of Kazakhstan in the same period amounted to 8.5 trillion tenge, which is 25.1 percent more year-on-year.
The financial center of Kazakhstan Almaty city is the leader in cash withdrawals – 2 billion tenge, a 21.4 percent growth year-on-year. Its share of the total volume across Kazakhstan has decreased from 24.4 to 23.6 percent.
Astana ranks second with 951 billion tenge of withdrawals, a 23.6 percent growth year-on-year. Its share has slightly decreased from 11.4 to 11.3 percent.
