Water supply tariffs to increase in Uzbek capital

Baku, Azerbaijan, Nov. 7

Trend:

Cold water prices will increase from November 22 in Tashkent, Uzbek media reported referring to the State Unitary Enterprise Suvsoz.

The prices will increase on the basis of a document dated Nov. 6, 2018, approved by the Main Finance Department of the apparatus of the head of the Tashkent administration.

New tariffs that will be valid from November 22:

Water supply - 280 soums (current tariff - 245 soums) per 1 cubic meter.
Drainage - 235 soums (current tariff - 210 soums) per 1 cubic meter.

Besides, a special increase to the tariffs for drinking water services in the amount of 100 soums per cubic meter has been introduced for Tashkent consumers this year.

The last tariff increase was on May 1, 2018. At that time, the cost of one cubic meter of cold water for the population increased from 195 soums to 245 soums, while the cost for sewerage services grew from 165 soums to 210 soums per cubic meter.
