The Latvian business association Cleantech Latvia is interested in cooperation with the administration of the Tashkent city, Uzbek media reported.

Recently, the Acting Head of Tashkent City Administration Jahongir Artikkhodjaev held a meeting with the heads of diplomatic missions, international organizations and financial institutions in the format of a business breakfast in the capital’s administration.

Cleantech Latvia was represented by the Latvian Ambassador to Uzbekistan Mihails Popkovs.

The Cleantech Latvia CEO Evija Pudane noted that they are very interested in cooperating with the administration of Tashkent on sustainable development of the city in order to reveal the full potential of growth in economic and environmental terms.

At the meeting, geo-spatial solutions in the management of urban resources, creation of a situation center in Tashkent, management and development of Smart City projects were discussed.

The Latvian side demonstrated presentations on the example of the small Latvian town of Jelgava and shared their experience in these matters.

Cleantech Latvia is a business public association, where joint activities are carried out by companies and design institutes working on ecology, water technologies, waste recycling and promotion of renewable energy sources in the Baltic States and Scandinavia.
