VTB Bank (Azerbaijan) will accelerate financing the exports of Azerbaijani food products to the Russian market, Chairman of the Board of VTB Bank (Azerbaijan) Yevgeniy Kirin told Trend.
He said that negotiations with several exporters of Azerbaijan are already at the final stage.
“Our task is to complete these transactions before the end of the year, so that next year we can apply this successful experience in relation to more trade participants,” he noted. “We provide financing to producers from Azerbaijan in order to speed up and simplify the export of mainly food products to Russia. This will make it possible to stimulate and create the necessary conditions for increasing trade between the two countries.”
Azexport online trading platform and VTB Bank (Azerbaijan) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in July this year.
In accordance with the agreement, Azerbaijani exporters will get new opportunities for export financing in those countries where the bank is represented.
The memorandum also stipulates holding of joint events and conferences, organization of business delegations, exchange of information within the capabilities of the Azexport website, including presentation of new insurance, logistics and transportation opportunities.
