Kazakhstan sees rise in prices

Prices of industrial products in Kazakhstan in November 2018 increased by 19.8 percent compared to the beginning of the year, the Kazakh media reported citing the Statistics Committee of the National Economy Ministry.

Compared to October 2018, the prices rose by 2.9 percent.

Since the beginning of 2018, prices of processing industry products have increased by 9.3 percent, and mining products by 29.5 percent.

In particular, price of oil rose by 34.1 percent, gasoline by 1.8 percent, diesel by 26.5 percent, and fuel oil by 21.7 percent.

At the same time, prices rose for natural gas by 15.9 percent, for liquefied propane and butane by 20.4 percent, and for coal by 11.3 percent.

Prices also increased for ferroalloys by 23.9 percent, for aluminum by 9.2 percent, and for copper by 1.3 percent, while prices for lead and zinc fell by 11.5 and 4.7 percent, respectively.

There was also an increase in the price of rice by 20.8 percent, wheat flour by 6.7 percent, sugar by 5.6 percent, bread by 1.1 percent, and tea by 7.9 percent.

Meanwhile, price of poultry meat has risen by 7.1 percent, cattle meat by 2.5 percent, and dairy products by 2.7 percent.
