Iran exempts imports of raw materials to free trade zones

In accordance with the proposal of the secretariat of the Supreme Council of Iran’s Free Trade, Industrial, and Special Economic Zones, the Iranian Cabinet of Ministers has canceled the registration of orders for raw materials and spare parts needed in these zones, Trend reports citing Mizan News Agency.

In order to simplify the local production process, an order for the import of raw materials and spare parts to Iran’s Free Trade, Industrial, and Special Economic Zones to be used in this production process may not be registered in the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade in accordance with the rules of these zones within the list of goods defined by the ministry.

The Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran has to submit the list of the mentioned goods within one week to the secretariat of the Supreme Council of Iran’s Free Trade, Industrial, and Special Economic Zones and the Iran Customs Administration.
