Tehran, Iran, Dec. 10

Trend:

Iranian minister of industry, mines and trade cited total imports of neighboring countries from Iran at $570 billion, which is only 3 percent of the total imports of these countries.

“Neighboring countries are among our priorities; in this regard, we are asking economic organizations to enter this issue,” Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Reza Rahmani said today at a ceremony of appreciation of Tehran's best exporters, Trend reports citing IRNA.

Emphasizing coordination between government and parliament in developing exports to neighboring countries, he says the parliament has said it is ready to approve any law in this regard.

"Joining the Eurasian Economic Community is one of those actions; it was promptly passed by the government and urgently introduced to the parliament," he said.

“People should not think that with the development of exports, their everyday goods are limited and prices increase,” Rahmani said.
