Kazakhstan increases volume of construction work

The volume of construction works and services in Kazakhstan in January-November 2018 amounted to 3.26 trillion tenge, which is 3.9 percent more than in the same period of 2017, Trend reports with reference to the Kazakh media.

In the reporting period, the largest amount of work was done in the construction of highways, streets, roads, railways, bridges and tunnels (798.6 billion tenge), industrial buildings (534.4 billion tenge), engineering structures (493.8 billion tenge), residential buildings (372.3 billion tenge) and facilities for the mining and manufacturing industries (220 billion tenge).

The volume of construction and installation works increased by 1.9 percent, compared to January-November last year, amounting to 2,73 trillion tenge. The volume of construction work on capital repairs increased by 20.8 percent, and on current repairs by 10 percent.

In January-November 2018, the construction of 39,047 new buildings was completed, including 36,351 residential buildings and 2,696 non-residential ones. In particular, 70 secondary schools, 85 pre-school organizations, 4 hospitals and 32 outpatient polyclinic organizations were commissioned.

The total area of the commissioned residential buildings amounted to 10.99 million square meters, of which individual developers commissioned 5.59 million square meters.
