GM Uzbekistan carmaker has sold over 1,000 cars of the model Chevrolet Tracker over the past 10 days, Trend reports on Dec. 21 referring to Uzbek media.
The announcement was made during the presentation of the Chevrolet Tracker crossover in Nurafshon, Tashkent region.
Deputy Chairman of Uzavtosanoat (the Uzbek owner of GM Uzbekistan) for Development and Marketing Umidjan Salimov said during the event that the company had produced over 2,000 Chevrolet Tracker crossovers in two months. According to him, the production volume will be increased to 10,000-12,000 in 2019.
Salimov noted that GM Uzbekistan will carry out the SKD assembly of the Chevrolet Tracker crossovers at the first stage. He also stressed that the Chevrolet Tracker crossover will for the time being be supplied only to the domestic market.
