Russia among TOP-5 importers of Azerbaijani products

In January-November 2018, Azerbaijan's Azexport website accepted orders for the supply of non-oil products from the country worth $479 million, which is eight percent more than in the first eleven months of 2017, Trend reports citing the Export Review of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.

In total, since January 2017, the website has accepted orders worth $954 million from 111 countries.

In terms of total volume of the purchasing orders for January-November 2018, Russia, which accounts for 17.4 percent of all purchasing orders, is in the lead. The top five countries in terms of volume of orders also include the US (8.5 percent of orders), Turkey (5.5 percent), India (4.4 percent) and Ukraine (4.4 percent).

The analysis of orders shows that the biggest number of orders in November was received for cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, carrots, nuts, cotton, honey, wine, tobacco, pomegranate juice, mushrooms, pomegranates, potatoes, wool, tea, silk carpets, canned vegetables, motor oil, butter, building materials, furniture, metal products , chocolate butter, saffron, fruit juices, cabbage, feijoa, respirators, mineral water, etc.

The Azexport (www.azexport.az) website was created in accordance with the presidential decree "On creating a single database of goods produced in Azerbaijan" dated September 21, 2016.

The objective of the website, which is managed by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, is to provide information about products of Azerbaijani origin and provide a profitable platform for their sale in foreign and domestic markets.
