Iran exports 38,000 tons of alloy steel

Iran has exported total of 38,000 tons of alloy steel worth of 20 million euros during nine months of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2018).

"Iran Alloy Steel Company current annual production capacity is more than 500,000 tons of alloy steel with 350 grades, " said the CEO of Iran Alloy Steel Company Alireza Chaychi , Trend reports citing IRNA.

He noted the volume of production capacity had risen to more than 73,000 tons by finding new markets for exports in the end of the last Iranian year (March20, 2018).

"In addition to exports of 38,000 tons of alloy steel to the European Union, Turkey and neighboring countries during past nine months of the current year (started on March 21, 2019) Iran expected to export 12,000 tons more in the remaining three months of the year," said Chaychi.

"The company forecasts to double the production capacity up to 1.2 million tons of alloy steel in 2026, by launching operation of Yazd steel making plant in 2021, it might speed up the process," he added.

The official indicated the company had invested $33 million and 8 million euros in installment of eco-friendly equipment and facilities that function with the least possible pollution.
