DRI production up 10% in Iran's Chaharmahal & Bakhtiari Province

Since the beginning of current Iranian year (March 21, 2018), so far, production of direct reduced iron (DRI) has increased by 10 percent in Sefid Dasht Steel Complex in Iran's Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province, Head of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province Industry, Mines and Trade Organization Seyyed Na'im Emami said, Trend reports via SHATA.

He noted that so far, in the current Iranian year, the complex has produced 420,000 tons of DRI, which is 10 percent more compared to the same period of the previous year.

Emami further added that the complex has fulfilled 93 percent of the production plan.

DRI is made into ingots in Iran's steel plants, Emami said.

Sefid Dasht Steel Complex is located in Iran's Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province.
