Kazakhstan’s trade turnover grows significantly

Kazakhstan’s foreign trade turnover in January-November 2018 amounted to $84.34 billion, which is a 20.5 percent growth year-on-year, Trend reports referring to the Kazakh media.

According to the Statistics Committee of the National Economy Ministry, exports in the reporting period amounted to $54.67 billion (26.4 percent up year-on-year), and imports totaled $29.67 billion (an 11.1 percent increase).

Also, according to preliminary data, the mutual trade between Kazakhstan and the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in January-November 2018 amounted to $17.08 billion, which is a 6.2 percent growth year-on-year.

In particular, Kazakhstan's exports to the EAEU in the reporting period totaled $5.26 billion (10 percent up year-on-year), and imports amounted to $11.83 billion (4.6 percent up).

In the total volume of Kazakhstan’s foreign trade turnover with the EAEU countries, Russia accounted for 91.9 percent, Kyrgyzstan for 4.4 percent, Belarus for 3.6 percent, and Armenia for 0.1 percent.
