A cableway will be built in the Turkish province of Giresun, Trend reports citing the province municipality.
A tender will be announced to construct the cableway in the coming months.
“The cableway will connect the city center to a historical fortress on the city’s outskirts,” the municipality said.
The construction of the cableway will increase tourist flow in the province.
The municipality did not disclose details of the construction and the project’s cost.
The longest cableway in Turkey is located in the province of Antalya. Its length is 4.3 kilometers.
The first cableway in Turkey was built in 1963 in the province of Bursa.
