Azerbaijan exported goods worth $19.46 billion in January-December 2018, which is 40.91 percent more than in the same period of 2017, Trend reports referring to the Azerbaijan State Customs Committee.
Share of the public sector in exports amounted to $13.5 billion (69.38 percent), private sector – $5.87 billion (30.17 percent), individuals – $88.5 million.
During the reported period, Azerbaijan mostly exported oil and oil products, natural gas, aluminum, plastic and plastic products, fruits and vegetables.

Imports amounted to $11.46 billion during the reported period, which is 30.5 percent more than in January-December 2017.
Share of the public sector in imports amounted to $2.64 billion, private sector – to $8.14 billion, individuals – to $686.8 million.
The most popular products imported by Azerbaijan during the period were various machines, ferrous metals and products made from them, vehicles and spare parts for them, plastic and plastic products, wood and wooden products.

In general, Azerbaijan’s foreign trade operations increased by almost 36.87 percent amounting to $30.92 billion in January-December 2018 compared to the same period of 2017.
The positive balance in the period amounted to more than $7.99 billion, which is 58.88 percent more than in the same period last year ($5.03 billion).
Azerbaijan exported 3,088 types of goods and imported 7,566 types of goods during the period.
Azerbaijan's foreign trade partners are 185 countries.
