Number of Central Asia companies registered in Turkey increases

As many as 115 companies with capital from Central Asian countries, namely, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, were registered in Turkey in December 2018, which is by 30 companies less than in December 2017, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) told Trend on Jan. 21.

The total capital of Central Asian companies registered in December 2018 increased by more than twofold and reached 15.7 million Turkish liras.

TOBB also noted that in December 2018, 42 companies with Turkmen capital were registered in Turkey, which is eight companies more than in December 2017.

"The total capital of companies registered in December 2018 with Turkmen capital amounted to 6.1 million Turkish liras," TOBB said.

In December 2018, 29 companies with Kazakh capital were registered in Turkey, which is 10 companies more than in December 2017, according to TOBB.

"The total capital of companies registered in December 2018 with Kazakh capital was 2.3 million Turkish liras," TOBB said.

In December 2018, 10 companies with Uzbek capital were registered in Turkey, which is three companies less than in December 2017, according to TOBB.

"The total capital of the companies registered in December 2018 with Uzbek capital was 6.3 million Turkish liras," TOBB said.

In December 2018, eight companies with Kyrgyz capital were registered in Turkey, which is two companies less than in December 2017, according to TOBB.

"The total capital of the companies registered in December 2018 with Kyrgyz capital was 934,000 Turkish liras," TOBB said.

Moreover, 6,400 companies and cooperatives were registered in Turkey in December 2018, which is 9.41 percent less compared to December 2017.

Thus, 85,200 companies and cooperatives were registered in Turkey in 2018.
