Iran’s Mirjaveh County provided with new irrigation systems

Around 2,231 hectares of agricultural land in Mirjaveh County, located in the south-east of Iran, has been provided with new irrigation systems, Mohsen Kahrazehi, Director of the Department of Agriculture of Mirjaveh County of Sistan and Baluchestan Province of Iran said, Trend reports via IRNA.

Kahrazehi added that 829 hectares of land in Mirjaveh County were irrigated with the new irrigation system during the irrigation period of 2017-18.

"We are working on a project to provide an additional 451 hectares of land in Mirjaveh with new irrigation systems," he said.

The director added that 30 billion rials (about $714,000) will be spent on the implementation of new irrigation systems in Mirjaveh County this year (starting March 21, 2018).

Mirjaveh County of Sistan and Baluchestan Province of Iran has a total area of ​​3,200 hectares and 7,000 hectares of sowing area.
