Iran’s Minister of Industry, Trade and Mine Reza Rahmani has denied the rumors about the crisis in domestic automotive industry.

“I deny the rumors saying that the domestic automotive industry is on its last legs, but like all industries, it needs care,” he said, Trend reports via ICANA.

Pointing on the impact of the approval of the Car Market Reform Plan by parliament on reducing the market's inflammation, Reza Rahmani said the plan includes good points and even some of its paragraphs are from the long-term plans of the Ministry of Industry, but the plan is looking at structural improvements and needs time to take effect.

"The car market reform plan is the reform of the entire automotive industry and the domestic component makers,” Rahmani said.

Nowadays, attention to domestic production is a priority, and there is no concern about the commitments of car makers to their obligations, he said.
