Iran processes 42,000 tons of shrimp

Processing plants in the Bushehr, Khuzestan, Sistan and Baluchestan, Hormozgan and Golestan provinces of Iran have processed 42,000 tons of shrimp by the end of the 10th month of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), said Hossein Abdolhai, deputy chairman of Iran Fisheries Organization, Trend reports citing the Iran Fisheries Organization.

So far, shrimp processing has not ceased in the plants in Hormozgan Province, which is estimated to be completed in a month, by then reaching 45,000 tons.

“There has been a 21,000-ton shrimp processing in Bushehr Province, with 2,500 tons in Golestan, 1,500 tons in Sistan and Baluchestan, and 527 tons in Khuzestan, while Hormozgan Province is expected to surpass 17,000 tons,” he stated.
