Germany sees great prospects in cooperation with Azerbaijan in such areas as energy, construction, agriculture, tourism, as well as in the field of vocational training, the Director-General for External Economic Policy at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy Eckhard Franz told reporters during the eighth meeting of the Azerbaijani-German high-level working group.
"Presently, negotiations are mainly conducted in the energy sector. Germany is working to diversify gas supplies, and the Southern Gas Corridor will play an important role in it," he said.
Franz noted that another matter under discussion is vocational training.
"This is the main factor of the successful German economy, because much depends on highly qualified specialists, and we hope that our experience in this field will be useful to Azerbaijan," he said, adding that the development of tourism in Azerbaijan is also being discussed.

The meeting participants are discussing the possibilities for expanding economic cooperation between the two countries, including in the areas of investment, industry and tourism, the work done after the seventh meeting of the working group, as well as the challenges ahead.
