Industrial products in Kazakhstan fall in price

The prices of enterprises-manufacturers of industrial products, including the production of services, in Kazakhstan fell by 1.2 percent in January 2019 compared to the previous month, Trend reports via the Kazakh media.

According to the Statistics Committee of the National Economy Ministry of Kazakhstan, since the beginning of the year the prices of producing enterprises in the mining industry have decreased by 2 percent, and in the manufacturing industry increased by 0.6 percent.

Gasoline, liquefied propane and butane fell in price by 5 percent, oil by 2.9 percent, fuel oil by 1.4 percent, while price for coal went up by 7.9 percent, natural gas by 1.5 percent and metal ores by 0.5 percent.

Prices also rose for lead (3.8 percent), precious metals (2.2 percent), aluminum (1.8 percent), rolled ferrous metals (0.9 percent) and ferroalloys (0.7 percent).

Regarding food products, prices fell for sugar (0.5 percent), rye flour (0.3 percent), and increased for cereals (7.1 percent), rice (4.6 percent), wheat flour (3.1 percent), livestock meat (2.2 percent), poultry (1.5 percent), fish (2 percent), dairy products (1.4 percent), tea (0.8 percent) and vegetable oil (0.3 percent).
