Uzbekistan to transfer over 150 unused buildings, land plots to businessmen

Unused real estate and land plots in Uzbekistan’s Andijan Region will be transferred to investors for business development, Trend reports via the Uzbek media.

The Cabinet of Ministers stated that 135 empty and unused immovable state properties and 20 land plots, with a total area of 58,900 square meters, will be given to businessmen.

The properties and land plots will be provided to entrepreneurs directly, without a competition, subject to investment and social obligations for 30 years.

Thus, 25 percent of children in the non-state kindergartens will be from families in need of social support. Private medical institutions will provide free medical care to 25 percent of the socially vulnerable people of the total number of patients. Moreover, non-state schools will provide free education to 25 percent of children from low-income families of the total number of students.
