Ardabil to connect to Iran's national rail network

Head of Iran's Planning and Budget Organization announced that the Ardabil Province will be connected to the country's national rail network within a maximum of two years.

"Connecting provinces to the national and international rail networks is one of the goals and plans of the government,” Mohammad Bagher Nobakht said, Trend reports citing Fars News Agency.

“Ardabil will be connected to the national rail network of the country within a maximum of two years,” he added.

Nobakht said the project will boost infrastructure development in the province, strengthen the tourism industry, especially in winter, making the province an ideal destination.

To carry out the project, $48 billion will be lent, he said.
