An export-oriented greenhouse complex was commissioned in Shukur Bakhshi area of the Kaakha district of Turkmenistan’s Ahal region, Trend reports referring to the Turkmen Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs on Feb. 12.
The greenhouse, built upon the order of Yigit local company, covers 10 hectares and is designed for the production of 2,500 tons of vegetables per year.
Dutch technologies are used in tomato cultivation. Tomatoes are planned to be supplied not only to the domestic market, but also to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
A 20 hectare-land plot has been allocated for the construction of another greenhouse in Kaakha district. In general, Yigit company has 1,000 hectares of land.
