Retail trade in Kazakhstan in January 2019 amounted to 694.6 billion tenge, Trend reports via the Kazakh media.
This is 4.4 percent more than in the same month of 2018.
According to the Statistics Committee of the National Economy Ministry, retail sales of goods by trading enterprises increased by 4.1 percent and by individual entrepreneurs rose by 4.8 percent year-on-year.
The share of food products in the total retail trade was 31.3 percent and the share of non-food products accounted for 68.7 percent.
