Kuwaiti Alshaya to hire Uzbeks to work in its stores

Kuwaiti Alshaya Group is considering the possibility of hiring Uzbek citizens to work in the network of its stores, the number of which exceeds 4,000, Trend reports via Uzbek media.

The Uzbek Minister of Employment and Labor Relations Sherzod Kudbiyev and the Executive Director of Alshaya Group Muhammad AlShaya announced this during their negotiations.

A memorandum was signed between the Alshaya Group and the Agency for External Migration under the Uzbek Ministry of Employment of Labor Relations, which opens up prospects for the employment of citizens of Uzbekistan in this company.

Alshaya Group is one of the largest companies in the world; it manages over 4,000 stores. The company employs more than 53,000 people from 120 countries.

Alshaya Group operates franchise brands such as Starbucks, H&M, Mothercare, Debenhams, American Eagle Outfitters, P.F. Chang’s, The Cheesecake Factory, Victoria’s Secret, Boots, Pottery Barn, KIDZ in the Middle East, Russia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and several European countries.
