The project aimed at supporting the development of female entrepreneurship is being implemented by Azerbaijan's Women Entrepreneurs Association with the support of the National Confederation of the Entrepreneurs (Employers') Organizations in five Azerbaijani districts, head of the Women Entrepreneurs Association Sakina Babayeva told Trend.

“The project on establishment of female business will cover 10 districts,” she said.

“The project involves experienced consultants, experts who conduct special training for novice businesswomen,” Babayeva said. “Such projects are expected to be implemented not only in the agricultural sector, but also in other segments of the economy.”

“The level of women's business sphere in the districts has greatly improved thanks to the implementation of such projects,” she added.

More than 143,000 women are engaged in business in Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan's Women Entrepreneurs Association was established in October 2017 with the support of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs.
